Moonspell




Moonspell — португальская готик-метал-группа, основанная в 1992 г. На первых порах группа играла фолк/блэк-метал, позднее творчество группы также иногда характеризуют как дум-метал или готик-дум. А вокалист Фернандо Рибейро просто дьявольски  красив : ему только и надо сниматься в роли вампира или Гётевского Мефистофеля.

Pain - это one-man-project музыкального продюсера, владельца звукозаписывающей студии и просто талантливого шведа Питера Тагтгрена, который по совместительству ещё и лидер дэт-метал группы Hypocrisy. Не слышать мега шлягер Pain - Shut Your Mouth просто невозможно, если  не слышали - исправляйте эту оплошность. Представляю песню Dancing With The Dead из одноименного альбома (будет ещё )

Эту группу невозможно не знать, если вы - поклонник качественной металл-музыки. Dark Tranquillity - великолепный шведский коллектив, исполняющий melodic death metal (и вместе c In Flames была основателем этого жанра)
Предлагаю прослушать песню Misery's Crown. Я пожалел вас, потому что гроулинг Микаэля Станне на первый взгляд кажется неприятным, в этой песне солист поёт чистым голосом, кроме припева.

Septic Flesh - греческая группа, исполняющая атмосферный дум/дэт метал, основана в 1990 г., распалась в 2003 г., в 2007 г. воссоединилась на радость фанатам. И ещё, Организаторы ежегодного международного фестиваля Чайка, обьявили, что одним из хэдлайнеров одинадцатого по счету фестиваля, который состоиться 6-7 июня 2009 года в Киеве, станут Septic Flesh

Все вы, конечно, знаете, как называется японский меч. Но большинство, кроме катаны, больше ничего не знают. Стало быть, я приведу тут кой-какую информацию.

Дайсё





Дайсё (яп. , букв. «большой-малый») — пара мечей самурая, состоящая из сёто (короткого меча) и дайто (длинного меча). Длина дайто — более 66 см, длина сёто — 33—66 см. Дайто служил основным оружием самурая, сёто — запасным и дополнительным оружием, применявшимся в ближнем бою, для отрубания голов или харакири.( японцы вообще народ педантичный и аккуратный - у них всё для своего дела)
(Дальше будут следовать япоские меры, так что сразу скажу : сяку = 30,3 см)

Катана (яп. ) — меч длиной 95—105 см (сам клинок в среднем был 70-75 см, но в любом случае для катаны больше двух сяку. Была разрешена к ношению только самураям.


Рукоять катаны (цука) имеет длину в 3,5 кулака. Ширина лезвия около трёх сантиметров, толщина спинки — от 5 мм. Рукоять обтягивают кожей ската, акулы или другим материалом и оплетают шелковым шнуром.Вес катаны зависит от ее длины, толщины лезвия и других параметров. В любом случае, катана из стали весит больше 1 кг. Встречаются катаны весом в 1,9 кг. Катана, имеющая хорошую закалку, может рубить более мягкий метал без повреждений для себя. Процесс изготовления катаны довольно долгий и трудоемкий. В ее изготовлении принимает участие не один мастер, а несколько. Один — переплавляет специальный песок в тамахагане, другой — кует и закаляет клинок, третий — полирует и точит, четвертый — занимается ножнами и рукоятью. Как результат, катана является одним из самых острых разновидностей мечей, её лезвие имеет толщину почти человеческого волоса, с лёгкостью разрезает и плоть с костью, и вражеские доспехи.

Вакидзаси (яп. )



Длина клинка — от 30 см до 61 см. Общая длина 50—80 см. Вакидзаси похож по форме на катану. Его носили в паре с катаной, также затыкая за пояс лезвием вверхВ паре дайсё (два основных меча самурая: длинный и короткий) вакидзаси использовался в качестве короткого меча (сёто).Самураи использовали вакидзаси в качестве оружия тогда, когда катана была недоступна или неприменима.В отличие от катаны, которую могли носить только самураи, вакидзаси был разрешён купцам и ремесленникам. Они использовали этот меч в качестве полноценного оружия, ибо по статусу не имели права носить катану.

Тати (яп. )





Он обычно длиннее и более изогнут, чем катана (у большинства длина клинка свыше 2,5 сяку, то есть более 75 см; цука также была зачастую длиннее и несколько изогнута). Тати, в отличие от катаны, не засовывался за оби (матерчатый пояс) лезвием вверх, а подвешивался на бедро в предназначенной для этого перевязи, лезвием вниз. Для защиты от повреждений доспехами ножны часто имели обмотку.Это оружие не только послужило прототипом катаны, но нашло и дальнейшее применение, в первую очередь как оружие кавалерии, по причине большей, чем у катаны, длины. Самураи носили катану как часть гражданской одежды, а тати — как часть военных доспехов. В паре с тати были более обычны танто или айкути, чем относящийся к катане короткий меч вакидзаси. Кроме того, богато украшенные тати применялись как парадное оружие при дворах сёгунов (князей) и императора.Более поздние модели тати сравнялись по форме и длине с катаной и отличали их от последней порой лишь роскошная сая (ножны меча) и способ ношения. Вариантами тати являются более короткий, напоминающий вакидзаси кодати и очень длинный, используемый в основном как церемониальный, одати. Самый длинный из существующих ныне одати сделан, вероятно, в XV веке и имеет 3,7 м в длину (2,2 м из которых — длина клинка).

Нодати (яп. )



Чтобы называться нодати, меч должен был иметь длину лезвия не менее 3-х сяку, чтоб управлятся с ним нужна недюжинная сила. Таким мечом можна разрубить всадника с лошадью пополам.

Hесколько условно можно произвести классификацию оружия по длине клинка. "Танто" должен иметь клинок не короче 30 см и не длиннее 40 см, "вакидзаси" - от 41 до 60 см, "катана" - от 61 до 75 см, "тати" - от 75 до 90 см. "нодати" от 3-х сяку 90,9 см. Самый большой сохранившийся до наших дней нодати имеет длину 3 м 77 см.

Сегодня я слушал эту песню. Практически весь день. Такого со мной ещё не было с тех времён, когда я только начинал слушать метал, начиная Nightwish и Pain. Что ж, теперь мои интересы пополнились группой Mercenary (основана в 1991 году)
