Ladies, I would really like to find a FRIEND that likes to garden. Raise vegetables, flowers, plants and likes to cook like I do. Canning, making cakes, pies, salads and really LOVES to cook. Please, I am not looking for some sexcapade. JUST a good friend that likes these things. Oh, English would be very helpful and of course I NEED A GARDEN. If you have a nice clean garden with a very clean kitchen, we can really bake some cookies, plant some tomatoes and who knows what else. I am a REGULAR guy. Very straight and do not smoke, no drugs and very safe guy to hang around with. If you like photography, out doors, camping, hiking, swimming, running, dancing and other activities, contact me.
TV is not one of my interests. Travel is. Oh, one more thing, I am in very good shape and can keep up with anyone half my age. Yep, I am an old guy, over 40. ha! Don't let that get in your way. Remember, I am looking for a FRIEND not a one night rodeo please. Yes, I am also from the USA but live here full time in Odessa. Sorry, no car here yet but soon.

It's rare that Ukrainians (especially women) find it easy to trust foreigners who are "just looking for a friend" (due to their trusty nature, Ukrainians have suffered greatly from sex trade and human trafficking). However, it seems you're a real person and your intentions are relatively pure.
A piece of advice: it's best not to numerously emphasize your straightness and that you are not looking for a "one night rodeo", to avoid rather justified suspicion.

Also, here's a good website www.ualadys.com, where they give you tips about meeting Ukrainian women (concerns men, too, surprisingly). It should help you understand how women/people perceive you when you approach them. Explore this source (get a login if necessary), to get an idea of what they value and how they think, so that you could derive the best way to find a friend to match your intentions and, maybe, go beyond that.

Thank you for the advise. When I say I am looking for a gardening friend, this is all I want. Just a good friend. Someone to write to, share thoughts and what ever. I have been to Ukraine 8 times. Lived there 1.5 years and simply LOVE Ukraine. The people, the food, the warm hearted and the life style. Look at ukrainiantours and see how we can connect. There are options. International marketing and travel. I am certain to help anyone who is interested in helping travelers find apartments, show them around their city and get paid for it. It is easy. Many Americans want to travel to Ukraine but NOT all are looking for some hot girl to play with. Most are simply lost in the fast track and want some piece in their life.
