Colour works with lines and shape for figure flattery. There is no colour you can't wear. The trick is to choose the right values and intensities of each hue, and to use them in flattering combinations. The hue is the name of colour itself. The value is the lightness or darkness of the hue. There are some rules of choosing the right colours. Such warm colours as red, yellow, orange - make a figure appear larger.
Cold blues and greens make it look smaller. It is up to deside how you to want to look and choose your colours accordingly.
There are no rules about putting colours together in a costume. Today anything goes. First of all is the one-colour plan. Combine different shades and intensities of one hue.
Start with a neutral colour: black, gray, white, navy or brown - and spark it with a touch of colour. For example: a gray dress may have red accessories. Basic dresses in neutral colours with a variety of vivid accessories are wonderful wardrobe - stretchers.
