Что-то меня в последнее время на дум метал потянуло. Прослушав пару песен в этом стиле, непосвящённые скажут : "Это готик метал !" Знатоки отвечут : "Неа, это дум !" А потом пойдут колошматить друг друга... Ну, это я пошутил

Одни из пионеров в жанре дум/дэт метала. Вот их композиция The Dreadful Hours. Как обычно у них, длится долго. Сначала мы слышим только звук дождя с одинокой гитарой, затем подключаются риффы с меланхоличным вокалом Аарона Стейнторпа. Затем дум заканчивается и начинается дэт Вокал превращается в гроул, риффы стают агрессивнее... Что бы потом всё возвратилось обратно к началу, к дождю и меланхолии...

Эту группу невозможно не знать, если вы - поклонник качественной металл-музыки. Dark Tranquillity - великолепный шведский коллектив, исполняющий melodic death metal (и вместе c In Flames была основателем этого жанра)
Предлагаю прослушать песню Misery's Crown. Я пожалел вас, потому что гроулинг Микаэля Станне на первый взгляд кажется неприятным, в этой песне солист поёт чистым голосом, кроме припева.
