Я никогда не перестану восхищаться этим человеком. Он отдает всего себя без остатка своей любимой музыке, он достоин носить имя гения. Безумного гения, ибо нормальный человек просто не в силах творить настолько сумасшедшую, настолько шизанутуюи в то же время глубокую и мелодичную. Его творчество просто поражает своим разнообразием, метаясь от гипербрутальной тяжести до проникновенного мелодизма. Его голос , прорываясь сквозь фирменную "стену звука" заставляет то принимать лицо формы О__О, то оставляет спокойно трепетать и думать "как человек может так петь?!". Встречайте! Талантливейший канадский композитор, мультиинструменталист и продюсер Девин Гаррет Таунсенд!

Devin Garrett Townsend

Девин Гаррет Таунсенд (Devin Garret Townsend), известный также как HevyDevy или Dr. Skinny или просто Devy. Сие человечище явилось миру 5 мая 1972 года в Канадском городке Нью-Вестминстер. С тех пор он живет и работает в Канаде, и для работы ему нужны только два основных инструмента – гитара и голос. Но это наверно мало о чем говорит, на самом деле он талантливый и неординарный мульти-инструменталист, композитор и продюсер. Его музыку трудно отнести к какой либо категории, но определенно он тяготеет к мелодичному hard-rock/metal с неслабым влиянием прога и индастриала.

А эту группу я хотел запостить 9 мая, потому что их альбом "The Diarist" 2006 года посвящен не чему-нибудь, а обороне Ленинграда во время Великой Отечественной войны. А группа угадайте откуда? Из Италии! Видимо, итальянцев интересуют не только сокровища бабушки, спрятанные в Ленинграде подо Львом. Dark Lunacy интересуются историей и культурой СССР и России, что и отображено в их творчестве. В дальнейшем я запощу ещё немного песен с этого альбома.

Энергия и драйв, обрушивающиеся на вас сплошным ливнем. Мелодика и брутальность слились воедино в руках канадских дэтсеров Kataklysm. К слову, раньше они играли брутал дэт с жутко пафосным названием Northern Hyperblast, но теперь играют дэт с долей мелодики, хардкора (как мне показалось) и энгри трэша (тоже кажется).
