21 Сентября Carlos Santana выпустил свой восемнадцатый "студийник". На нем гитарист представил свои версии хитов от классики рока. За этот проект Santana брался очень аккуратно. Когда к нему впервые подошел его друг и producer Clive Davis, чтобы обсудить идею записи нового альбома и его концепцию, легендарный гитарист и лидер группы был сдержан. В конце концов, эти песни уже "guitar classics", притом они известны, по словам Карлоса, как "the Mona Lisas" и созданы "daVincis" нашего времени, легендами гитары: Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, George Harrison.

Помимо Carlos Santana в записи участвовали Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave), Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver), Chester Bennington (Linkin Park), Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach), Gavin Rossdale (Bush), Scott Stapp (Creed), Joe Cocker, Chris Daughtry, виолончелист Yo-Yo Ma, rapper Nas и Ray Manzarek (клавишник "The Doors"), soul певица India.Arie, певцы Jonny Lang и Rob Thomas, с дуэта с которым ("Smooth") в 1999-м начался новый виток карьеры Carlos Santana.

Про последние прослушанные альбомы:

Lil Wayne - Rebirth (2010)

Не смотря на то, что у нас практически никто не относится всерьёз к этому некрасивому черному обтатуерованному с головы до неизвестно чего дядьке, в штатах он, что называется, гремит. Число просмотров клипа на одном ютьюбе больше, чем в Украине жителей. Глава лейбла Янг Мани, то ли в шутку, то ли не очень говорит, что если они находят и подписывают нового интересного артиста, то они особо не парятся над его раскруткой, а всего-лишь пишут песню с Вэйном. Взять того же Дрэйка, к примеру...

Честно говоря, будучи на его месте, любой другой, скорее всего почивал бы на лаврах, попивая дорогие напитки, трахая дорогих женщин, и напевая какую-нибудь "амахасылу" для галочки.

Давненько я не постил хорошей музыки (когда я буду говорить это каждый раз, пора начинать беспокоится). Ладненько, вот вам легендарная группа из Туманного Альбиона, которая наряду с Paradise Lost и My Dying Bride дали рождение второй волне дум-метала. Вот только потом Анафема, под влиянием прог-роковый коллективов 70-ых годов создала свой стиль, свою музыку, в которой так и хочется окунутся и плыть по её течению.

Всё-таки очень это очень хорошо, когда после распада группы участники продолжают творить. Так и поступила Долорес О'Риордан, вокалистка памятной группы The Cranberries. У неё единственный своём роде и очень легко узнаваемый.
