Я ничуточки не сомневался в том, что гитарист и барабанщик из Moonsorrow,  басист и клавишник из Amorphis, гитарист, отпахавший на Kreator и вокалист Swallow the Sun смогут записать нечто особенное. У таких людей халтура не получается. Их проект Barren Earth сочетает в себе тягучую мелодику Amorphis, прогрессивность Opeth и кое-что от себя.

Отнюдь не все группы из Норвегии играют "чорный митол прославляющий тьму". Есть одна группа, назвавшаяся в честь испанского холодного томатного супа (говорят, очень освежает в жаркий летний день). Эта самая Гаспачо играет волшебный арт рок, погружающий вас в некую отдаленную реальность с помощью убаюкивающей акустической гитары, скрипки и клавиш.

Энергия и драйв, обрушивающиеся на вас сплошным ливнем. Мелодика и брутальность слились воедино в руках канадских дэтсеров Kataklysm. К слову, раньше они играли брутал дэт с жутко пафосным названием Northern Hyperblast, но теперь играют дэт с долей мелодики, хардкора (как мне показалось) и энгри трэша (тоже кажется).
